ABOUT THE CAKES

 

 
 

At Marian Louise Cakes, it’s what’s on the inside that counts. I am passionate about telling a story through enticing flavor combinations for guests to explore and experience. All of the cakes are made fresh to order using ingredients such as Madagascan vanilla, Guittard San Francisco chocolate, nut pastes, in-house made curds, and more. The menu is thoughtfully tested and curated, but can be tailored to suit your requirements.

The cakes contain four layers of cake and three layers of Swiss meringue buttercream and/or filling, carefully assembled and structured. 

The cakes themselves are similar to a sponge cake, but slightly denser to withhold structure and weight when stacked. On the other hand, Swiss meringue buttercream is a silky, not-too-sweet icing.

Cakes can be coated with buttercream or white chocolate ganache in a range of textures, or iced with fondant for a polished finish. All fondant cakes are coated with a chocolate ganache underneath the veil of fondant icing. The customer has a choice between dark, semi-sweet, or white chocolate ganache.
